Originally a mid-century diner, the new location of the Tobacco Leaf Cigar Lounge required a complete transformation: a retail store, a large walk-in humidor, and a lounge environment with the warmth and character that cigar culture demands. SM+P’s adaptive reuse of the diner space embraced both the challenge and the opportunity — the building’s bones provided the starting point, and SM+P’s design created something entirely new from them.
