For a West Coast chef’s debut in Baltimore, SM+P was hired to design the flagship location for Liora — a new vegan restaurant concept. Located at the base of a new waterfront apartment tower, the brief was to create a bright and airy environment evocative of coastal California dining. The 2,700 square foot space is defined by dining and bar areas surrounding an open kitchen that puts the cooking fully on display. Natural woods combined with warm plaster and tile materials, and custom millwork elements incorporate plantings throughout — bringing the chef’s vision for a living, breathing restaurant interior to life.
