Project Architect Charles Patterson led SM+P’s transformation of a former industrial shell space into Woodberry Kitchen — one of Baltimore’s most celebrated restaurants. The design mirrors Woodberry Kitchen’s farm-to-table philosophy: locally-sourced ingredients reflected in locally-crafted architecture. SM+P’s in-house artisans fabricated the interior light fixtures and bench seats, drawing on the work of other local artisans throughout. The historic nature of the former mill building was respected while creating a warm, distinctive space — honest materials, honest craft, and a dining room that has become one of Baltimore’s most beloved destinations.
