Currently on the boards: a small cabin co-owned by friends, designed for weekend escapes from the city on a wooded West Virginia property. The project is a study in restraint — a small structure doing a big job, creating a genuine sanctuary from urban life within a modest footprint. SM+P’s ability to work at this intimate residential scale alongside major institutional and commercial projects reflects the full range of their design practice.
