Located in the historic Bromo Tower Arts & Entertainment District of Baltimore, Crook Horner Lofts take their name from the original owners — the Crook Horner Company, manufacturers of iron and brass castings. SM+P’s renovation created 15 live-work apartments with dramatic, unusually spacious floor plans, paired with street-level retail that brings new vibrant uses to North Howard Street. The project adheres to the Baltimore Green Construction Code and utilises local, state, and federal historic preservation tax credits — a model for sustainable, community-minded adaptive reuse in one of Baltimore’s most creative neighbourhoods.
