Tilted Row

Back to All Work

SM+P was hired to design a new restaurant and bar on the ground floor of The Jordan, a new residential building in Baltimore’s historic Bolton Hill neighborhood. The design of the 2,100 SF space included a full kitchen, dining room, chef’s counter and a bar which fronts Eutaw Place Park. A material palette was carefully selected to give the space a timeless yet contemporary feel. Framed beadboard ceilings and custom millwork shelving walls define the three distinct dining spaces. At the chefs counter, a suspended shelving system clad in brass mesh serves as a buffer to the kitchen. Handmade ceramic tile envelops the open kitchen and expo station while separating the chefs counter seating from the bar seating. The white oak back bar shelving and bottle display is anchored by a custom antique mirror, reflecting the greenery of the adjacent park and bringing the outdoors in. Along with full design services, SM+P specified all furniture elements of the space.
