In addition to interior work at the house, SM+P was asked to restore the rear porches and garden to the historic home, which were in disrepair. The client’s request for a screened-in porch, outdoor kitchen, dining area, and firepit were all integrated into the design while many mature plantings were transplanted from the previous garden.

The project was awarded the 2024 Baltimore Magazine’s Home & Design Award for both ‘Deck, Roof Deck, Patio, Porch’ and ‘Landscape Design – Small Space’ categories.
