Laboratory Renovations
SM+P Architects is a regional leader in laboratory renovation. We have completed a wide array of high-profile laboratory projects over the past two decades, including over a dozen laboratory projects for the National Institutes of Health since 2010. Renovations range in size from several hundred square feet to several thousand. Projects typically are renovations in a limited space, in-use environment requiring SM+P to accommodate specific research protocol and new state-of-the-art equipment. We have extensive experience planning phased construction to limit disruption to adjacent labs and downtime to researchers.
