SM+P Architects took a raw, dark commercial space in Baltimore’s Canton neighbourhood and transformed it into Verde — a bright, lively Neapolitan pizza restaurant whose atmosphere is the direct result of deliberate design. The challenge of converting difficult raw spaces into inviting hospitality environments is one that SM+P has met repeatedly — using light, material, and spatial organisation to create places that people want to return to.
