Working in collaboration with GE-T Architects of New York, SM+P designed a new 4,000 square foot quality control laboratory for Pompeian, Inc — a Baltimore institution with over 111 years of history producing thousands of gallons of olive oil and vinegar daily. Laboratory design at this level requires specific technical expertise: understanding of material flows, contamination controls, equipment integration, and safety requirements. SM+P’s laboratory portfolio extends from academic research facilities to industrial quality control — a range that positions them as one of Baltimore’s most versatile architectural practices.
